First weekend in April can mean only one thing, the BTCC is back.
Cracking days racing, all the support series have got pretty full grids, and the touring cars look immaculately turned out. The series has grown so much in the last few years, and that was really vindicated by what must have been easily 40,000 people at Brands Hatch today.
Anyways, enough words, only pictures now:

Freddie 'son of James' Hunt, as he was referred to every time he was mentioned over the weekend.
Dab of Oppo: seems appropriate
Ginetta GT4 supercup has a HUGE field which made for some good racing.
Full Disclosure: I'm a Honda fan, and a Wix Mercedes fan, hence the significant bias of photos.

thanks, yeah Btcc is always a safe bet for some good action. Whole support package was good too which is nice.

What are you doing to get great in-focus shots with cars coming towards you, BTW? Mine always end up focused on a spot two seconds ago and not the car as it moves closer.

i tend to focus the camera on the apex of the corner, atleast in that case, then as the car moves into shot the camera should be able to track it relatively easily.
If your using servo autofocus on canon (or nikons equivalent) that should be able to focus on a car as it comes towards you.

Yeah the support are often good. I saw Clio Cup at Silverstone a couple years ago and it was an excellent watch. I'm trying to get sorted to go to the Croft round of BTCC this year.
